Tuscan Restaurant in Rome?
This fall (early Oct), we're visiting Venice and Rome, to celebrate my husband's 50th. We've visited both places several times, so we're aiming for a leisurely time of lots of food and some sight-seeing. I welcome the chance to spend a little more time in each place (4 nigts) and we have more than enough restaurant ideas already!
Hubby is obsessed, however, with a little place we ate at in Florence, Ristorante Tre Panche. It was charming and delightful, a tiny place (with yes, only three benches). We had great white truffle dishes, as our last trip there was in mid Oct. He wants to spend a night in Florence just to go here, even though I've warned him they might not even have white truffles.
In lieu of that restaurant, can anyone recommend a similar type of place in Rome? I know, Tuscan food in Rome, but seems like it would be more efficient, travel-wise.

Heres a thread from last summer on a similar topic.

Looking at my old Access guidebook for Rome, Mario (Via della Vita 55) is recommended as a Tuscan restaurant. I have never eaten there myself.
Terra di Siena is recommended on tripadvisor:
