Cheung Hing Chinese Deli - closed for good?

Sarah Jul 20, 2012 03:21 PM

Husband stopped by on Noriega to pick up a few necessaries --- closed! A guard was in place and said only that they closed this morning. Anyone know anything?
So sad, best roast duck, pig, cha siew, pigs feet, and so much more...

You could call Cheung Hing in Millbrae for info, same owners.

We picked up duck and pork earlier this week. Long line at 430PM. As good as ever.

It seemed to be in full flower. Can't imagine it was for lack of business. Hope this is just a momentary glitch -- landlord (it's the middle of the month)? health inspection (there would be a sign)? vacation (is there a word for vacation in Cantonese?)

      Sigh...

I went there earlier today and it was closed since it failed the health inspection test.

The folks working there were cleaning up and spraying stuff etc. Its got pretty low scores from the SF DPH: http://dph-extranet2.sfdph.org:7777/p...

Actually good news -- most likely they will clean up, pass the test, and open up. And stay in good graces for at least a while.

Forgot to post after I drove by last week and they were open again.

You are the bearer of good news!

(checking dph report, looks like they got inspected and cleared yesterday)
