[New Brighton] Mediterranean Sea
An interesting name for a chippy on New Brighton's prom. Take-away only but one of the best I can recall in a long while.
Enormous piece of freshly cooked cod. Bang on cooking that provided a crisp, non-oily, batter and moist flakes of fish. Good chips. And staff who know that you have to give it a really good drenching in vinegar for it to be right.
We ate them on a bench gazing at the river - like all the other pensioners there (place was relatively heaving with us old fogies).
