You didn't mention if this will be lunch or dinner.
EBO in the Delta Hotel in central Burnaby offers comprehensive lunch & dinner menus with an Asian nod, as does their brunch buffet. And they can easily accommodate groups of 14 (or much more).
There's also Green Basil on Kingsway opposite Metropolis Shopping Centre, that is a bigger space than Chad Thai mentioned above, but food won't be authentic.
Pho Tan on Kingsway just east of Gilley is solid and consistent.
If you can venture into New Westminster, Thai New West, on Columbia St is worth checking out:
Or Tamarind Hill on 6th Ave is well-regarded, but it's Malaysian:

You might need to expand your requirements list. What do you mean by "fresh Asian" for example. I can recommend a couple of places (e.g. Alvin Garden, S&W Pepperhouse) which both serve spicy Chinese food...but I don't know if that will fit the bill. Grand Dynasty at the casino may work for you.

re: fosmoss
Maybe not near enough to Bby but check out Chau Veggie Express on Victoria. I've also heard good things about Ly (sp?) in Burnaby. Or pretty much any of the Viet places along Kingsway -- I find the Vietnamese available in Vancouver generally to be quite light what with all the fresh veggies offered to wrap it in. Coincidentally, there was a group of 14 coming in to Hai Phong as we were leaving tonight. They often host large groups there if that is close enough to Bby for you and they don't have to split you up -- they may even take resos for a group that size, worth enquiring. Good variety on the menu too.
