Give us a report juju. Haven't been in awhile and am thinking about taking my Uncle Joe there. He is elderly but loves a jalepeno on his burger and trying new ethnic foods. His only complaints about Ambler are not enough breakfast places and no thai restaurant or vietnamese

Saffron was really good! We each ordered from the RW menu - the appetizer was 1 spinach, potato and I think paneer patty and two onion bahjia which were all fantastic. the bahjia were kind of like a cross between a fritter and a hush puppy. My friend ordered the Chicken Bhuna, I had the Channa Saag - I'm in LOVE with Saag and this was no exception. we both loved our entrees, we each got the garlic naan, which were strewn with fresh chunks of garlic and were buttery and hot. The rice pudding was very tasty - I can't begin to tell you what was in it. It was fruity and flowery and crunchy. I didn't eat more than a couple tastes, because I have a dairy allergy - I wanted to eat it all.
When we arrived at 5:30 the place was pretty empty, but it filled up nicely. Service was very good, and although the portions were not huge, we definitely got enough to eat. Both of us took home a portion of our entree.

Thanks Juju! I will probably take Uncle Joe even earlier as he hates crowded restaurants and they do pack 'em in there at Saffron. Sounds delightful!

We ate at Forest & main for dinner last night. We left stuffed. Restaurant week menu includes a pint of any beer with 3 courses for $25. Ridiculous! I shared my three courses with our 3 year old. Fish & chips were good; I only order them because my little guy loves them. Summer corn soup & pierogies were excellent. New Bitter on handpump (I think it's called Tinesdale?) was incredible. I love their English style beers....so excellent. Only downside is that the service can be slow, especially (it seems) when we arrive early. The staff could not possibly be nicer or more accommodating, but I think the small kitchen just precludes them from keeping up with demand. It was a long dinner to keep our little guy occupied. Still, we had a blast!

We had a fantastic meal at Massa for restaurant week the last time they has it. I saw Forest and Main is now included and I have been dying to find an excuse to stop over, this may be it!

The menu looks very good at Forest and Main. I have had their salad with poppy dressing.. very nice. The cheese plate is good, especially the pickled vegetables, though you inevitably ask for more bread.

The mains are a bit of a concern. They do not have their burger on there, but sliders. The fish and chips are very good, though they to date have not standardized the chips.. shoestring, fat,, in between. And I am most troubled by the lamb shank for TWO. I had the lamb shank there, and unless they are getting some hefty lambs, the portion they served for one was definitely not enough for two. The desserts look good but I have not had either of those dishes.
