H & E Marina Deli is not closed. It's very good. It has excellent smoked whitefish and a quality matzo ball. it's also very charming. on the other side of 17th street is Harbor Cafe, which also has a jewish deli vibe. i went to pomperdale's recently. it was honestly pretty bad. i hope it was just an off day, but i won't go back.

This is a little bit out of the driving range that you specified, but you might try Sage in Hallandale.

You might also consider H & E Deli in Fort Lauderdale. It's a little tricky to find but well worth the effort!

I'm pretty sure it is out of business. Also, Pomperdale's closes by late afternoon, so check on the hours before you go.

Try Pomperdale's on Commercial just west of the Intercoastal. Old fashioned New York style deli.
