Recipe Pork belly sliders

One of my friends said this sounded good...and it was good.

Pork belly sliders.

12 slider hamburger rolls or dinner rolls
some pork belly
carrot daikon salad

For the salad:
a cup of shredded Daikon
a cup shredded carrots
1 tsp of sugar
1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar

First of all prepare the salad a day in advance. Using a grater, grate carrots, daikon into a bowl add sugar, and rice wine vinegar. Cover bowl and put in fridge.

On the day of slice the pork belly into inch long chunks and in a frying pan fry until brown. Put aside.

Take cheddar and grate over bowl.
Decant kimchi from jar and slice into inch long pieces

Get out a cookie sheet. Slice buns and arrange bottom half on cookie sheet.

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Get out Carrot/Daikon salad.

Place sliced cooked belly on bottom of buns, then add salad, kimchi, cheddar and a dot of sriracha. Place top bun each sandwich. Cook for about two minutes or until cheese is melted.

Eat hot or cold both are good!

  1. I tuned into a show where they were serving the pork belly in between steamed biscuit dough the kind you can buy in the dairy section of the supermarket that comes in a cardboard tube.

ick? and you're not having a hard time with cheddar cheese + kimchi?

The cheddar is quite surprising. I did a double take.

They go surprisingly well together, I've found.
