Ina Garten made this as the main dish for a charity auction lunch prize, and it looked pretty good (I haven't tried it myself). She served it to the winning party AND to Alec Baldwin and Mariska Hargitay, in a completely ridiculous episode of Barefoot Contessa:

Agreed. I was thinking a slightly more liquid dressing would be nicer too, with pasta - there is a restaurant near my work that makes a DELICIOUS creamy vinaigrette dressing that uses champagne vinegar and just a touch of mayo - I think something like that might be a little lighter and allow the lobster to shine more, in addition to being less gloopy on the pasta.

In that case I'd probably serve the pasta salad on a bed of greens, garnished with some cherry tomatoes or something for color, then do a side of fresh green beans with a little citrus butter or slivered almonds plus plenty of good bread and butter. Done. Are you doing a first course and/or dessert?
