I've done dals, kidney beans (rajma) and kheer. I've also finished off biriyani in my slow cooker by layering the partially cooked rice and meat into the crock, then leaving it on simmer for a few hours.
I prefer not to do meats as we don't like the pieces of meat to be falling apart.

I make the Butter Chicken recipe from the Indian Slow Cooker cookbook all. the.time. I adapted the recipe and it's one of the most popular recipes on my blog - you will not be disappointed!
