celebratory lunch close to 40th/5th ave

Celebratory business lunch. Not too formal. Great ambiance with fantastic food. Cuisine really anything other than Asian. Price not an issue.
Somwhere within a few blocks of 40th street btw Madison/5th ave.

Any rec's would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Check out Vitae at 46th and 5th. This still under the radar spot serves perfectly executed (and creative) American food with an Italian flare. Read the (nearly two hundred) great reviews on Open Table.

We've been to Vitae and liked it a lot. However, I didn't suggest it because I think the lunch menu is not as strong in terms of selections as the dinner menu, especially with regard to the main courses. But if BLover would be satisfied with them, I think Vitae would be a fine choice.

Ai Fiori is, imo, the perfect fit.

Great idea but they are fully booking when we are looking to go. Any other suggestions?

        Thank you so much!

          That's too bad.

          Perhaps, dbBistro Moderne? Or Keens?
