Engagement Party for 30 People-Relaxed and Fun Space?
Hi. I'm planning an engagement party for a friend of mine and need some help! We are probably about 30 people and looking for something very casual and fun. We're a group in our mid-twenties. I hope to find a fun place where we can all just gather and get some drinks and some food passed around, no seated dinner or anything. Trying to keep it as simple and relaxed as possible, we have a solid enough budget but want to keep it cheap if we can. I live out of town and we are looking to have the party in DC so any suggestions would be great! We are open to spaces that you plan out a party as well as places that have large gathering spaces where we could all meet. Any suggestions??
Maybe you can section off a part of the outdoor space at PS7 and then order food and drinks off of the lounge menu. Other options:
Darlington House- the upstairs area...I know there is a minimum
Bar Dupont-same there is a minimum, although I held my 30th birthday there and we just got there early and grabbed a bunch of tables in the side room, ordered a couple of bottles of champagne and some food and it worked out fine
Ardeo/Bardeo-Maybe you can hold it on the roof top deck.
Darlington House has great private rooms and good service (had my family dinner there before my wedding)
Lincoln on VT Ave
Rock and Roll Hotel has private space
I think Churchkey rents out the back space
Zentan might also be an interesting choice - I ate there and saw a large area in the back and the hotel has a neat roof deck bar
