GOOD SALAD WANTED!!!

Where can I find a good SALAD restaurant in the Berkeley area? I don't mean the regular run of the mill lettuce with a few other vegis thrown in. I'm looking for something like you would make at home. Something with a large variety & option of many vegis. Also many different dressings. Know of such a place? Am tired of cooking at home every night. Thanks, David

Freehouse on Bancroft across from campus has a lovely salad (and nice selection of beer...)

Take a look at the veggie salad offering at Brasa. You may have to dress it yourself at home for the multiple dressing part.

Closer to UC on the next block Jayakarta has karadok and gado-gado salads with peanut dressing.

the one that everyone knew about was cafe intermezzo on telegraph, which unfortunately burned down last year. there was talk of it reopening a few months ago, but not sure if that will actually happen.
