NJ Restaurants and Social Media

What NJ restaurants and food stores are particularly good at keeping the public up to date (specials, promotions, new menu items, etc.) Personally, I find the following to do a pretty good job via Facebook:

Restaurant Nicholas
10th Ave Burrito
Jersey Shore BBQ
The Cheese Cave
Surf Taco
Via 45

I'm sure there are others that I'm forgetting at the moment. What are your favorites?

I've followed a number of them on Twitter, and didn't find that they tweeted anything useful. So I unfollowed them.

Woody's in Sea Bright. During the recent water restrictions they posted lots of updates mentioning that they were bringing in bottled water to cook and run the bar with. They have been marketing their frozen drink specials using the backdrop of the recent heatwaves.

I'm not saying this is my favorite restaurant...however based on your specific topic of using social media I say Park East in Hazlet does an excellent job of pushing/promoting via facebook. I do believe every employee is suppose to do 3 posts on facebook about promotions of the night each night they work to get the word spread as much as possible.

Yes, not favorite restaurant, but the places that do a good job at putting out quality content via social media. One more I just thought of is Just, but they promote their nightclub way more heavily than their food. But when they do post about their food, the post is usually very well done (still haven't made it there for a meal yet).

Oh, and a relative newcomer, Beasty Burger, has been doing a good job as well.

The next best would be Empire Steak House in NY City. As I'm thinking about this though you first have to "like" the page for you to see the marketing they are doing correct? If that's the case I think those are the only two restaurants I have "liked" on facebook. lol
