Removing cocoa from cake recipe? / Baileys Irish Crea

Morning! So I found a recipe for a Baileys Irish Cream cake that I'd like to make for my friend's birthday (he loves Baileys). However, this receipt calls for cocoa. He's not so much of a chocolate fan (crazy). Can I simply remove the cocoa from the ingredients of the cake without hurting the cake's integrity? If so, do any other ingredients need to be added to compensate?

I couldn't find another cake recipe calling for Baileys on Baileys action without it involving a cake mix
If anyone has other non-chocolate Baileys cake recipes they think are better, please send them on!

Thanks, everyone!

You can use cake flour to replace it. I've used regular flour, too (1:1), but you're supposed to use slightly less flour than cocoa. It's worked fine, though.

Cocoa is part of the structure of the cake. I might try to add a combination of 1-2 tablespoons of corn starch and 1/4 cup of shredded coconut to the cake to replace the cocoa. I think the Bailey's and coconut together might make a good pairing.
