Yogurt left in maker

I have an automatic yogurt maker that turns itself off after the set time -- unfortunately, I left the yogurt (vanilla-flavored) out an hour or two PAST it turning itself off. Is it still safe to eat? I'm new to yogurt making and don't want this batch to go to waste!

The reason that yogurt can be kept such a long time is because you have introduced and fostered the growth of a non toxic ( and beneficial) Bactria . That Bactria is loathed to allow any other critters to grow.
So you have no worries about your yogurt as "nofunlatte" has already told you .

Agree -- it will just be as if cooked a bit longer. Mind often sits an hour or so before getting unloaded.

It's safe. Not to worry--yogurt doesn't actually have a set time for fermentation anyway.
