Restaurant near Frosinone?
I am hoping someone can help me remember this wonderful little place my husband and I ate at
8 years ago near Frosinone. The problem was that it was dark and the place had no signage, or at least it was not in front, but more on the side of the restaurant. I think we tried it because we were looking for something authentic and not fancy. Anyway, the place was amazing. It was up in a hill town near Frosinone. I remember going down a twisty road overlooking the city below. Also, the mother did all the cooking, there were only a few tables and there were no menus. Luckily for us, the son was home from London where he was a chef and he could translate for us. He told us basically mom just cooks whatever and brings it out. Man, was everything amazing! I've been trying since then to find this place in hopes of going back, but my memory is pretty bad in terms of exact location. Any clues would be greatly appreciated!!!
I looked in the Slow Food guide but there was practically nothing. This is going to be a toughie unless you can remember the name of the town, but it certainly seems worth reconstructing. The whole province of Frosinone is usually forgotten, but we spent a part of August down there one year and ate very well indeed, especially in Atina.
