Lunch on or near Venture Blvd between Vineland and the 405

Any good ideas? I know there are tons of restaurants but what is a really good place to have lunch?

All of these are on Ventura:

Sattdown for Jamaican is just west of Vineland. The jerk chicken and curry goat are excellent.

Loteria Grill at Laurel Canyon for Mexican.

Yamadaya for tonkatsu ramen is in a strip mall just east of Noble, close to the 405.

Mantee is just a block east of Vineland in Studio City - Mediterranean/Aremenian. The restaurant's namesake is a rich oven-baked pasta dish. The Mediterranean apps are first rate, as are the meat dishes.

Natas Pastries is by Fulton in Sherman Oaks area - Portuguese. Their natas (portuguese egg pastries) are great as are most of their other Portuguese pastries. The soups, salads and chicken piri piri are standards for us.

Simon's Cafe is on Sepulveda just off Ventura, east of the 405 - Morrocan/Mediterranean. Merghez sausage is the thing to get.

Another vote for Natas. For ramen there is Ramen Jinya; for sushi there are dozens of choices. I'm partial to Katsu-ya for nouveau sushi. Brat Brothers is further west. A little ways up Tujunga is Caioti for pizza. Even with the passing of Ed LaDou its still good pizza. Enjoy.

Do you have enough capital for this Venture? ;-D> Lots of good comments on Ombra http://www.ombrala.com/ (which, while not exactly where you've requested, is close to your geographic parameters - half a mile, maybe?).
