SoBou: What's the deal?

Just reading a little about SoBou over at Eater and realized there's no chatter about it here. What's the deal? Is it open? Is it good? We've been thinking about a fall/winter food trip to Charleston but there are some really intriguing new NOLA spots that we might want to check out instead.

  1. I think it will be a fun spot to take visitors..one of those things many locals don't go to without an excuse...but a friend of mine (a Brennan family freind) says she will try to be a regular. I note the Faubourg cocktail is essentially a French 75 (New Orelans version where gin replaces the cognac). Earl Grey infused gin is a bit frou-frouey for me but whatthehell, it sells. Any place that is playing with foie gras is OK by me, though.
