Awful problem with tweet/facebook photo

My daughter sometimes uses my computer, and now her photo is on all of my Chowhound posts and I can't get rid of it. Please help!!!!

This is another major annoyment on Chowhound.

I just had the opposite happen. I was looking at some photos on a local historic photo fb page when low and behold I come accross a photo I took, I know this because I am in shadow in the foreground taking the pic. I freaked out because to my knowledge the pic was in my phone and posted to my private fb pg. Then I remembered I had uploaded it to chowhound. The photo was of an iconic restaurant mid demoliton. The offender a regular on my local board. Eww, eww, eww...
I didn't even know you could lift a photo from chowhound!

Anyone can lift any photo that is posted to any site that is public. All someone has to do it right-click (Control-click on a Mac) and you get the option to save the photo to their local drive. Then they can do whatever they want with it.

And correct me if I am wrong, but just b/c someone keeps their fb account private doesn't mean a friend can't download the photo and post it somewhere else.

I have never tried lifting a photo from Chowhound. I wasn't aware it was as easy to do as it is at other sites. Also the photo in question was set to custom to be viewed only by me on FB.
I think you are missing my point.
I wish the guy would have just said something like " cool photo I'm going to repost it here..."
We live in the same town and it just felt creepy.

Yeah, I don't see that pic on your post either (except on your screen shot). But what's that apparent link that says "Switch back to ..."? What if you clicked on that?

Yeah that is definitely showing just on your side, not a CH issue at all I think. It is in the "like" area of Facebook, which is a clickable link. Can we assume you did all the usual suspects of refresh browser, clear cache, reboot computer, check for any new programs loaded?

Well, there is no photo attached to this post, nor one I looked at randomly of yours, You do not have a avatar, so you have the standard fork and knife one.

Has she downloaded some kind of toolbar? Sounds like some fun social media for teens crap.

It sounds like something on your end (I don't see a photo either). Maybe post a screenshot here, someone may have an idea of what's going on.
