Favourite Deep-Fry Avoidance Tactics!

I love deep-fried food, but I hate deep-fried food. Essentially I love the crispy delicious things you can make by deep-frying, but the inconvenience and oilyness of the deep-frying turns me off so much that I never ever make or eat those things! I've already found kickass recipes for baked falafel, baked french fries (normal and sweet potato varieties, and even the low-carb courgette version, although I am not averse to a carb or two) and baked onion bhajis, but I wondered how far this could go! What are your favourite recipes for things that would usually be deep-fried but in this case are cooked in another way? Or are there some things which you simply cannot have any other way but boiled in oil? My personal Everest would be tempura; if I can figure out a way to make that in an oven, I will die happy...
