Donut Storage?
I'm getting married in a few weeks and we really want to give out donuts from Peter Pan in Greenpoint as favors. We would put them in individual glassine bags with little stickers or something. Peter Pan is the first restaurant my boyfriend ever took me to, so it has special meaning, plus they are of course the best donuts of all time.
My question is regarding storage. We would be picking the donuts up early in the morning the day before the wedding. So they'd need to last around 36 hours. Do you think this is too long to make it worth giving them, will they be too stale by then? Is there a good way to store them to make them last? It would be around 75 and I'm not sure we'll have access to a freezer or fridge big enough. Any insight or suggestions appreciated!

This is what I wiould do, given that you have a few weeks.
Buy a box of donuts and have one each day. That will tell you exactly how fresh they will stay. If, after 2 days you would not want to eat them, don't use as favors.
I would also guess that plain (not filled ones) would hae a better chance of holding up.Or, can you have Peter Pan wrap and deliver them the day of the wedding?
