Resort Happy Hours
Checked out BLT @ Camelback Inn for Happy Hour.... stunning view of Camelback mountain, "handcrafted cocktails" and wine for $5, and I had a beautiful caesar salad for $6 (and I rarely call salads "beautiful"..........seriously.)
Can anyone offer up any other local resorts with restaurants that offer similar happy hour experiences? I have a feeling I can't top BLT, but T. Cooks at the Royal Palms might come close... anyone been? Any other suggestions?
Muddle Bar next to Deseo in the Kierland Westin resort has a good happy hour for mojitos and great ceviche
T Cook's has a happy hour but 99% of their cocktails are Vodka based, so that makes it less attractive
The Bar next to Elements at the Sanctuary has a serious cocktail program - you would probably do very well there and get a good view
and finally if you want a view with bad cocktails and mediocre food there is always J and G at the Phoenician ;p
As a tourist from San Diego that loves coming to PHX and staying at your 5* resorts..
Stayed at most and have graced the happy hours and enjoyed the Montelucia happy hour, T. Cooks at the Royal Palms..especially, when Dwight is banging on the keys.. Westin Kierland, Biltmore and the Phoenician and miss that they closed McCormicks and Schmicks Biltmore for HH.
Staying at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess with Bourbon Steak happy hour next month...I so miss the Marquesa...someone, please bring back that thing of beauty!
Camelback Inn is on the list for next year..might have to hit that up next month...gotta check out that 'beautiful salad' and $5 wines.
re: Beach Chick
I looked at the happy hour menu for La Hacienda at the Fairmont and their happy hour cocktails are made with Cuervo Gold.... (seriously?). I'll check out the Bourbon Steak menu.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I'll see if Muddle Bar has happy hour tonight. Maybe Elements tomorrow....Montelucia on Monday :)
Oh and by the way Beach Chick, if you get over to BLT, I recommend the peanut butter mousse for dessert - It's a rich peanut butter mousse with a crisp wafer at the bottom, a small scoop of banana ice cream, surrounded by chocolate sauce :) A steal at $5.
