I would only buy my coffee at La Ventana, which is on Diez de Sollaro, just around the corner from the Jardin. See http://travel.nytimes.com/2009/12/27/travel/27hours.html and http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cafe-La...
Support a local business with excellent coffee and pastries!

thank you for the tip. I would support local vs big box I don't shop big box at home. Last I was there i purchase some good coffee beans on Correro #14 (I think) might still be there but needed a back up plaln. As I recall it was across from El Correro so this may be the same place.

      Yup, two suggestions:
      1) in SMA, Casa de Cafe on the corner of Hospicio and Recero in Centro. Their cafe de casa is excellent, as is their dark roast -
      2) Costco in Celaya or Queretaro has an excellent cafe de casa, comes in kilo bags for around 130 pesos, beans, but the store has a grinder if needed.

I agree with the prior posts and must add that for a sit-down cup of cap, go to Buon Dio.
It is on calle Pueblito. Closed Tuesdays. Great cappuccino!!! You will not be disappointed.
