A really nice obituary for a truly wonderful, generous woman.

This made me so sad. One of the finest food writers ever. I am actually taking her Swiss Cheese Spread (from the wonderful "The Supper Book") to a party tonight.

One of my favorite cookbooks, Fannie Farmer. Very sad day indeed.

The Breakfast Book by MC remains one of my favorite primers.

+1 on that. My copy is so tattered, i really need a new one. It is a great book just to read through.

I agree. The Bridge St. Ginger Muffins are still my favorite after all these years.

I learned so much from her Fannie Farmer Baking Book, that a dear friend gifted me when I was starting to learn my way around a kitchen of my own.
