Little Izaka-ya by Katsu-ya

  • 3

Just drove by and saw this has gone in where another sushi placed used to be, right on Sepulveda across from the Whole Foods in Sherman Oaks. Does anyone know anything about this place? I can't seem to find much of anything online.

  1. Katsu has an Izaka-ya in Manhattan Beach as well as one on 3rd Street not far from the Grove.
Here is the link to the menu for the 3rd Street location.

This site is a bit smaller than the other two, and thus some menu items may not be available, hence the term Little Izaka-Ya by Katsu-ya.
This location is operated by those originally affiliated with Katsu himself, unlike any place affiliated with SBE, which are named Katsu-Ya by Starck.

Thanks, Carter. Have you eaten at any of the locations, and if so, what did you think? I sorely miss The Terried Sake House....

No I haven't, as none are near Sherman Oaks, until this one opens. Katsu knows his way around a Japanese kitchen better than most everyone in the LA area, so I trust his judgment, yet also realize he is in business to make money.
Will try this mini version fairly soon, yet Japanese cuisine has never been my love of life.
