Where to celebrate 50th birthday in NoVA/DC; 15 people

Hello. Looking for suggestions to celebrate a 50th birthday dinner. Group will include 15 relatives. Some are not food "risk takers" so ethnic like Thai or even Japanese won't work. Suggestions on some of the popular, mainstream "celebration" places are appreciated.

Thanks,
Benjy in Reston

How about Black Salt, for great seafood - assuming you will be in cars.

Thanks. We'll have 5 kids and none of us are really heavy drinkers. Under $50/person.

Italian might work for this group. I've never personally been to Carmine's but people seem to like it and they serve everything family style which could be fun.

Another option would be to go to Central, perhaps see about getting the private room. There are more gourmet options for the foodies and hamburgers and fried chicken for the folks that are not as adventurous.

Carmines is like eating frozen food with extra grease. Sorry. Rather eat at Macaroni Grill. Dino and Firefly have private rooms and fit the price point easily. To me Urbana is hit and miss, but they have lots of space for 15. Might be hard to hit the budget point there, easy at the other two.
