Toronto or West GTA - Cocktail Party Venue Suggestions
I know folks, there are quite a few threads all ready (which I have read). Still looking for a spot suitable for a Friday night party to meet the following needs:
- Room for MAX 150 people (probably will end up being closer to 120)
- Space for some tables or some limited seating
- Need space for a live band where noise by-law hours (ie. 11pm) won't be an issue
-Something with it's own ambiance and minimal need to decorate. (no banquet halls)
-If catering is provided, cost under $90/pp with staff
So far, I have contacted, considered, and/or received quotes from Archeo, Berkeley Church, Palais Royale, Wychwood, Carlu, Liberty Grand, Old Mill, AGO, Hart House, Burroughes Building, Brickworks, Glenerin inn (Mississauga), Kortright, Spadina House, Steamwhistle.
Don't get me wrong, some of these are still contenders, but just want to see what I'm missing! Willing to go GTA - West, but no further west then Oakville.

You should look at The Vue. It's located in north GTA and it's a great modern facility that is under the Peter and Paul's company. We were going here for a corporate event and got a lot of great feedback. It's modern, noise is not an issue, lots of space, and catering costs will be under $90.

This is Steven from Foodies on Foot. Have you considered Amsterdam Brewery? They have a great open space on the upper level of the brewery and a very reasonable event venue charge. As we are a company that is constantly looking for event space ourselves, and, I know how expensive it can be. Best of luck.
