Halal food trucks (or similar)

I love the "lamb over rice" that's usually a mainstay with these types of trucks. There's one in Crystal City that's okay in a pinch, but the hot sauce is off (it's like Louisiana hot sauce!).

There was another in Crystal City but I think they got run off by District Taco (boo!).

Friday I left work early and stopped in Ballston as there used to be a great one there. It's gone and there's a new outfit who doesn't deserve to be in business, imo.

Anyone have a bead on a good one in NOVA or on the west side of DC? I could go to a restaurant as well (doesn't have to be a truck).

TIA!

I could be wrong but I thought the same company, Metro Halal Food Cart, operated the one in Ballston as well as the one in front of Courthouse Metro and Rosslyn.

I'll look at Courthouse and Rosslyn (thanks). That one used to be associated with a restaurant on 29 in N. Arlington, but I never went (and can't remember the name). Btw, there were two other patrons Friday that were dismayed that the old truck wasn't there. Of the three of us I was the only one to give the new truck a try (which I regret).

Edit: Quick Google search: La Jawab is the restaurant, and they had 3 carts in operation at one point, the other two you list are referenced.

      THANKS!
