I'm looking for some amazing Spanish saffron. Point me in the right direction!

Despana is the obvious first choice. Buon Italia in the Chelsea Market also has good saffron, as does Kalustyan's, though they are not price competitive. IIRC Fairway has one decent saffron (as well as one inexpensive version).

If you look online for Sahar Saffron you wil find a great selection of Spanish, Greek, Afgani, Italian, Morrocan and Kashmir(I think the best). They have the newest crop and if you want to compare they have a assorted deal for $76. I've bought from them the last two years and have been very satisfied.

That website has some incorrect information regarding Spanish saffron.
