Brighton Beach on a Summer Afternoon

I was thinking of exploring this neighbourhood and noshing on some good Russian or Central Asian foods. What would be good on a weekday while playing hooky from work?

Some cold borscht would be nice. As are cured and pickled products.

Eat on the boardwalk. Food is good and it's a trip. They have people standing on the B'walk with menus you can check out.
