Manila - New for 2012?
I'll be going to Manila in a couple weeks. I have been there a few times now, including last year so I've been to most of the standard places. Anything new or notable in the last year or so?

Several new places in BGC (Bonifacio Global City, formerly Fort Bonifacio).
Mango Tree (part of the Bangkok chain) for Thai,
Cake Club nearby for coffee, tea, and French pastry (they make a pretty decent version of Pierre Hermé's Ispahan.),
Patchi for chocolates from Beirut that are as good as any but the very best French chocolate bonbons.Old favorites:
Milky Way on Pasay Road for Filipino food, especially the whole fried catfish, crispy pata and lechon kawali;
Hossein's in Serendra for Persian food;
Lugang Cafe in Greenhills for xiao long bao, braised bean curd, and shaved ice;
The Goose Station (though I've only been there once) for a high-end tasting menu.

Boon Tong Kee in MOA is getting a lot of buzz lately. A branch of this Singaporean restaurant chain which is known for their Chicken Rice with their numerous sambals,fried frog's legs,shrimp toast,clay pot pork belly with rice buns. Kind of touristy and kitschy but I enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Have you been to Cafe Juanita?
http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restaurant_...With the sudden outcropping of bubble tea-style establishments like Serenitea and ChaTime, you might as well grab one while you're there.
