Best friends visiting Barcelona for the very first time in November!
My best friend and I will be visiting Barcelona for the very first time in November and I cannot tell you how excited we are! We are both in our late 20's and would love recommendations for restaurants in which the locals eat at for breakfast/lunch/dinner. We like places with personality, but also adore simple mom and pop places. We just want to feel like we are a part of the city and meet the locals. Also, we are thinking about taking a train to Terressa, Spain, does anyone have any lunch/dinner recommendations?
We were in Barcelona for a few days last fall. When we arrived, we allowed ourselves a day to adjust to the time change. However we slept very well on the plane and as such, we had a whole day to ourselves to kill. At the last moment over breakfast we decided to visit Penedes which is the cava region right outside of Barcelona. We were there in an hour using the subway and a train. It was a fantastic day. There are a lot of great bodegas to visit and the little town was absolutely charming. Don't miss Frexinet. It's about two blocks from the train stop. The tours were very inexpensive and the cava was fantastic.
