Gouda goat cheese, anyone?

I have got a good one today...what is a good food companion for gouda goat cheese?

Goat gouda is on my "strongly approve" list. It becomes more complex as it ages, so if you have the aged cheese, I would go with Bacardi's idea of serving it alone on crackers or bread, perhaps with a good wine. The younger version would pair well with lunchbox's suggestions.

I love goat-cheese Gouda, but prefer it all on it's own without companions to take away from its distinctive flavor. Stone Wheat crackers are it as far as accompaniemtns for me.

If you're going simple table cheese, I think a sweet/tart fruit compote of cherries, plums, figs with a nice crusty baguette is perfect.
If you're using it as an appetizer, goudas melt pretty well, so I'd suggest melting it with a thyme or oregano pesto with toasted nuts or an almond butter & fig jam sammich.
If it's a snack, a nice smoky ham and a spicy mustard will make the butteriness and the goatiness pop!
