Creative Tacos

Where can I find interesting tacos (tex-mex, mexican, fusion, or anything else). I know of the the few Korean Tacos options around town. There's Good 2 Go which has some interesting items. Breakfast tacos at Taco Joint (not a fan). Anything else?

Taco Stop at Turtle Creek and Riverfront has really tasty taco's - I love the ribeye, but I know the people around here have tried and like all of them
We literally walk across the street so someone is pretty much always eating one (or 3)

There's Velvet Taco on Henderson ... I like their Texas Burger taco. Some of the tacos really need a hit of their Heat Sauce, so don't be shy about grabbing the bottle and using it.

They have Indian-inspired tacos ... their menu's online.

What do you like at Good 2 Go?

I like the raw, Ahi tuna tacos in a lettuce "shell" and, the cornmeal dusted fried oyster tacos at Velvet Tacos.

Good 2 Go? Any one of their daily taco specials.

Forgot about Velvet Taco. I like it though it's a tad expensive. Also, forgot to mention Fuzzy's, Torchy's, and Rusty Taco as being places i'm familiar with as well so still looking for some other options.

At Good 2 Go, my favorite is the Hotlanta. Waffle battered fried chicken with sweet potato, powdered sugar, and maybe something else. That one is good (sometimes great). I've had some really good breakfast tacos there too (of the non-traditional variety).

May I volunteer my taco experience at Fuzzy's on Midway in Addison as the singular most pathetic, frightening, long lasting taco memory I ever wish to suffer.

I concur. With Fuzzy's in general.

But then again, all the little Mexican mom & pop taco joints have spoiled me forever!

One great exception is the local three store chain of El Tizoncito. An amazing, casual and comfortable restaurant serving exceptional tacos and other authentic foods of Mexico City. Including the slicing of pork Al Pastor off a Trompo ala, shawarma style. Very prevalent in Mexico City.

Ditto on Fuzzy's in Southlake...just don't grasp what all the hype is about

On the good end of the spectrum, the taco platters at El Paisa ( Carrollton off 35 plus Harry Hines) are the real deal. I get the carnitas with flour tortillas. The 3 sauces at the sauce bar, plus chopped onion and cilantro, make for tasty taco building. The beans and rice and grilled jalapeno and grilled onions and a large horchata put it over the top.
