Victoria with teens

Going to a wedding and staying at Laurel Point with our teens. They are decent adventurous eaters but one is vegetarian. I know there are some wonderful high-end places but looking for more casual places that do serve some vegetarian fare. Any delicious seafood is perfect along as they will offer something for the veg in our group. Hopefully, good beer too for my better half.
So far I've come up with these: Pizzeria Primastrada, Tapa Bar and Tibetan Kitchen.

Any other ideas are very welcome!

  1. Rebar seems to be a go to for folks looking for hearty vegetarian in the capital.

Rebar was my immediate thought as well. I also loved John's Place as a teen and they have/had decent vegetarian options IIRC.

    2. Prima Strada is a great choice!

The Pink Bicycle is a great little gourmet burger joint, and has 3 amazing and completely different house made veggie burgers. (Plus soup and salads.)

Ferris' Oyster Bar and Grill (the downstairs part) is also coming to mind.

Pagliacci's seems like it should also be on this list.

And lastly, I will end with The Mint.

I'm having a hard time conjuring the the things I liked as a teen, but all of these are casual, with good veggie options, fairly inexpensive, and good sized portions (all downtown too). Most restaurants in Victoria should have a large amount of vegetarian friendly (and often vegan) food on the menu. Same thing goes with many restaurants serving local craft beer!

We ended up at Prima Strada on Cook street and loved it! They had a fantastic octopus appetizer with a lemon chili vinaigrette. We also loved TibetanKitchen. It had plenty of stuff for the vegetarian and a delicious lamb curry for me. The service was great and we loved the ambiance there. Can't wait to come back and try some of the other options. Thanks!
