Music Venue with food for Saturday night on the South Shore?
My knowledge of the South Shore is roughly equivalent to my knowledge of the South Pole. Outside of the Showcase in Foxboro I haven't a clue of where to hear some music and grab a bite to eat.
I'm looking at an area roughly from Quincy to Hingham, or Braintree to Needham, or Canton to Foxboro
Would prefer blues but it's all good and dive bars recommendations are encouraged!
thanks

SS Tomato has the idea. Thursdays there's blues at Pete's on South St. in Quincy, across from the old shipyard (pretty good bar food). Also on Thursdays there's blues jamms at The Next Page in Weymouth on Broad St (not sure about the food). On Sundays, late afternoon at the Players Club in Rockland is a blues jam (not sure about the food.).
Hope this helps.
Enjoy,

Thee used to be much more available, to my knowledge.
One place that may work is The Tinker's Son--in Norwell, right by Hingham. Check their web for line up and menu. I would not order an ambitious meal (I had a so-so braised lamb shank -which is hard to mess up-one winter. But a burger shoud be fine.
Also, the Snug ininham, but I see tha a a cozy wuiner plac, not a summer venue.
There are places with music, whose food I would not seek out, like The Next Page-Weymout, Presidet's Rock Club-Quincy.
I will be very interested to see what others reccomend a diner and music makes a geat night out.
