Very cheap eats in Ottawa

Hello! My friend and I our backpacking our way through Canada. We are on a very cheap budget therefore we need to eat very cheap but good. Any recommendations? This is our very first time in ottawa!

Shawarma Palace (464 Rideau Street) is delicious. Also, poutine from chip trucks/stands should give you enough calories for a day.

I was in Ottawa with the my students three weeks ago and had a great burrito at Ahora Mexican Cuisine in the Byward Market. Ahora is towards the north end of the market building. $8.95 for a large burrito, that was quite filling, exceptionally fresh and full of flavour. The salsa bar with five or six home-made salsas was outstanding. I didn't eat there the first day, but on the recommendation of several students it was a great choice. Vegetarian and several meat choices were available and the owner was very friendly.
