Encebollado in Guayaquil, Ecuador
Tried encebollado for the first time this morning and it was fantastic. It's a fish stew eaten for breakfast, with albacore, yuca, red onion, and lots of cilantro (at least, those were the main components of the one I tried). I added a few drops of oil and lemon juice. My vegetarian traveling partner was able to order it without the fish and seemed to enjoy it. It's supposedly is great for a hangover. We ate it at "El Restaurante Autentico Omega 3" on Roca between Rocafuerte and Panama. Does anyone know any other good places to eat encebollado?
