Booze prices in Memphis - Help

I'm headed to Mississippi to visit some friends, flying into Memphis. I want to bring them a bottle of top shelf bourbon and a bottle of top shelf scotch. I'm coming from California and trying to figure out if it makes more sense for me to buy the bottles here, pack them carefully and put them in check-in luggage or to buy them when I arrive in Memphis. I know that Buster's is supposed to be the best liquor store in Memphis but the check prices function on their website isn't working yet. Can anyone tell me the approximate prices for a bottle of, say, Pappy Van Winkle 15, 20, 23 year old and also the same for, say, a bottle of Talisker, Oban 18, Macallan, etc? My friends and our livers thank you, or maybe not.

Where are you going in MS. There's some great liquor stores there also. Are you spending the night in Memphis. Buster's is not very close to the AP.

Down to Clarksdale where I'll stay with friends. I arrive very early in Memphis and will rent a car and don't expect to be in Clarksdale until mid to late afternoon, so plenty of time to wander around Memphis.
