Asheville - Mamacita's Baja Kitchen (not the taqueria next door)

First let me say, I hate writing this review. I hope my visit was unusual and that in the future Mamacita's Baja Kitchen receives raves. I should have known when we walked in the door that there was going to be trouble. It took us a while to be seated, and once we were seated it took longer than it should for us to place our drink order. We could see our server literally running from one side of the restaurant to the other trying to accommodate the customers. I felt bad for him. He finally got around to us, and we placed our food order. Our food came up fairly quickly but was cold. We ordered the Carne Asada Tacos and the Pork Carnitas Tacos. For Mexican food, it was pretty mild. Also, our tacos were loaded with shredded cabbage. They were very dry. The corn tortillas seemed like they had been sitting around for awhile, cold and gelatinous. We ate our tacos because we were very hungry and didn't want to spend more time in a bad situation. Our frozen margarita was weak and not sweet. To start with, I might have added more Triple Sec. I mentioned to the server that the restaurant could use a plate warmer. He responded by saying that there were so many people the plates weren't in the warmer long enough to get warm because of the turnover. The restaurant was not to capacity. There were quite a few tables open. It seemed like everyone was trying very hard, but it just wasn't working. Mamacita's Baja Kitchen is near my home, so I was really hoping it would be great, instead it was very disappointing.
