When are Bahama Breeze and Olive Garden opening at Bergen Town Center in Paramus?

ebchower Jul 8, 2012 05:25 AM

I know they were given approval last year and were supposed to open this year, but I have heard no word further word on when they are opening. Also when I went to this mall about a month ago, I didn't see signs of either. Does anyone know where in the mall these restaurants will be? I assume they will be free standing buildings somewhere outside.

Are either anything to look forward to? I'm somewhat familiar with OG.

BB is another chain owned by Olive Garden. I have a lot of family in the area and they work well as play it safe choices for family gatherings.

I ate at a Bahama Breeze while on vacation recently in Florida. Not at all bad for a chain, and prices are low (entrees around $15). They have something for everyone (seafood, chicken, beef, vegetarian) with an Americanized Caribbean theme. Fairly unpretentious -- though they do have drinks with silly names (Bahamarita, Bahamartini, ...).

I think they may be going in the new phase of the project. I am not sure, but someone had originally said that. I know the Miller's is close to opening.

As far as BB -- I like it. Went to a location in Orlando and enjoyed the experience. As a result, I went to the one in Wayne, NJ when I got home, and have been back several times. Nice theme, environment, service, etc. Outside patio area for the nice weather, music on occasion, a healthy menu section, and a good variety of food. I liked it for a regular change of pace place, and certainly better than some of the other chains I've been to.

I'm really looking forward to the Miller's Ale House. I went to them several times in Florida and it's a great place. They basically invented the boneless buffalo wing, which they call Zingers. The original, and the best. Good food, good prices, and a cool place to hang out.

I would love to see a Gordon Biersch open in NJ. I went to the one in DC a while back.

Never heard of the beer or the restaurant, but after visiting the website, it looks a lot like a highbrow version of the Ale House. This could be a good area for them to open one.

Agreed. They do well in FL and have many locations. The zingers are their banner product, LOL. I've been to various FL locations -- and they are very popular.

Really, an Olive Garden? Always looking for a new nice place to try out in the area, but an Olive Garden?? Cant speak about Bahama Breeze as I know nothing about it, or Millers ale house

I can't speak to OG at all. Went to one once in my life, and have never gone back. I was only speaking to BB and Miller's.

I drove down Rt 4 on nov 7th and they built them, signs are on both buildings. it's on Rt 4 right in front of the mall next to Jared. No idea when it will be open but I wouldn't doubt before Thanksgiving.
