Places to purchase interesting instant noodle brands in Toronto.

  • 7

Hello there!

My friend is an instant noodle connoisseur (if the three words may be used in combination). However, he's currently studying in an area of the United States devoid of anything good where Asian food is concerned. He's coming home to celebrate his birthday, and I'd like to purchase some of the following:

1. Nong Shim Shin Ramyun Black
2. Myojo Hyoubanya no Chukasoba
3. Mie Sedaap Instant Kari Spesial Bumbu Kari Kental
4. Nissin Yakisoba with Mayonnaise and Mustard
5. Indomie Special Fried Curly Noodles

I've seen an abundance of these brands on Amazon, but I'd like to get some in Toronto. Does anyone know if these are sold anywhere in the G.T.A.?

Thank you!

  1. I don't know Toronto, but in most big cities, ethnic food stores of many kinds sell instant noodles. The canny Japanese have tailored the product for different nationalities simply by changing the flavor packets. I have seen Chinese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Indian, Pakistani, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Arab varieties. There may be more.

    1. i can't speak to the specific varieties you've listed, but t&t has the biggest selection that i've come across. they might have at least some of these varieties.

      1. Here is a thread on the best frozen ramen, with a more intense pork base than the dry products.

        1. Galleria Supermarket (Don Mills and York Mills) should have Nong Shim Shin Ramyun Black.

          1. Sanko on Queen St West has an Interesting selection...
