Rum Specialty Bars in Toronto

Anyone have good suggestions on a bar that specializes in rum in downtown TO? My husband is a huge fan of that spirit, especially in its fancy forms. Would love to take him for drinks at a cool bar that has an above average selection of rums. Any ideas from the chowhound Toronto community?
Price no object, as it's his 40th birthday, and in the city would be preferable. Will be for pre-supper drinks before we eat at Scaramouche.

That was my first post on CH, and my goodness I am impressed.

First, I went down to the LCBO and bought a bottle of Zacapa 23 as part of the birthday present. Thank you for that recommendation.

Second, I called Splendido and they're going to hold two spaces at the bar for us to sip rum for a couple hours before our reservation at Scaramouche. Avi (?) was so gracious and noted that my husband is a rum lover and that maybe Carlos might come over to say hi.

Love the look of the website of County General though-keeping that under my hat for next time, thank you.

Sorry, I don't have any bar suggestions. If you want to stay on the rum theme for a gift, however, the LCBO currently carries one of my favourite rums - Zacapa 23 year old. It goes for about $80 a bottle up here.

I like to sip it neat at a favourite rum bar in the Carribean, but a hot summer night in Toronto works too. Enjoy!

I had Zacapa 23 for the first time last year and it is the best rum I've personally ever tried. It is not a staple in my house.

You might want to check out Spirit House. I know they have a larger list of spirits.

Certainly The County General... or Splendido.

Owner/Sommelier Carlo Catallo knows his stuff when it comes to rum.

He lubs his rum indeed. He turned me on to the El Dorado 21 (he prefers the 15). SO GOOD.

The only place that comes to mind is the County General which stocks someting like 30 different rums. A bit far from Scaramouche though.
