What can I do with fig vinegar?

I received a bottle of fig vinegar for Christmas, but I haven't used it yet. Any suggestions?

I've tried the strawberry and straight-from-shot-glass tips. Both were wonderful! I'm looking forward to trying the salad suggestion when I get some walnut oil.

Agree with the salad ideas. Just as a FWIW, I bought a small bottle of fig balsamic vinegar to try. It was delicious but pricey. So I bought a decent balsamic and a jar of fig jam and we make our own now. The jam is chunky, and I would probably whiz it in the processor for guests, but just for us, we don't care.

This time of year, with fresh figs available, I throw one into the mini FP along with vinegar, oil, etc--it emulsifies beautifully.

Duh, why didn't I think of that? Lulu's Fig Balsamic Vinegar is one of my favorites, and pretty pricey. What a fabulous idea!

my favorite way is tossed with the tomato and basil I put on bruschetta.

Savored slowly from a shot glass.

Toss in a salad with tender greens, walnut or hazelnut oil, blue cheese or goat cheese, with pears or apples or roasted beets, and toasted nuts (pecans, walnuts, or hazelnuts, depending on oil used), roasted beets. Any combination of these is very good, even just using fig vinegar with a fine oil on a romaine, tomato and cheese salad.

It is wonderful reduced a little and served on strawberries.
