banh mi w/ grilled meat options - st.clair and south

my usual haunts on spadina don't do grilled meat, the closest they get it some sad looking chicken or bbq pork that's all shredded up. any thoughts on where to find this?

Is there a Ginger location close to you? I know the ones by Yonge/Bloor and Queen/University both do grilled meat subs. They're simple ones, not like the ones at Banh Mi Boys, but I've always liked them - Portuguese pada bun, grilled meat, pickled veggies and it's less than $5.

thanks, but i wouldn't say the ginger ones are simple, they're just not banh mi. picked one up at the bloor location and if they're not at least using baguette then you've lost me already. it's not banh mi. all the BMB ones are is meat, pickles and a couple garnishes.

Have you not heard of Banh Mi Boys on Spadina and Queen, or did you not want something that far down?

i just had bahn mi boys for the first time yesterday...amazing...i had a grilled pork and pork belly sandwich...and a squid taco...can't wait to go back...but somethign further north would be nice as I live at yonge and davisville...
