Ice Cream Cake
Can anyone recommend a place in Toronto for ice cream birthday cakes. I don't want to have to go to dairy queen or baskin robbins.....I have tried in the past and they leave a lot to be desired.
Cold Stone Creamery?
Thanks

Ed's Real Scoop makes outstanding ice cream cakes. I ordered one for my daughter's birthday in April, and it was delicious. Not cheap, mind you: a single-layer cake is about $30; a two-tier (two flavour) cake is about $40. Worth every penny, IMHO. Something to consider if it's a really special occasion, and if you're in the east end.

+1 for Carters. We ordered from them about a month ago and loved the cakes. Very nice owner/baker who put the cakes together. They don't make Thomas or fairy shapes, if that's what you're after, but they will incorporate different colours and stripes into the cake and icing design and then decorate the top with smarties or gummies or whatever. They use Kawartha Dairy ice cream. Very homey, very sweet, very delicious and very popular with the kids.
