I think it is excellent. Comes with cheese and carmelized onions, plus an aioli/remoulade, and a plate of fries. Quality is superior. Definitely one of the top burgers in LA.

<Definitely one of the top burgers in LA>

Ordered to take out 3X this week...

The hamburger is outstanding with fries that, in my opinion, are some of the best in LA. This restaurant just gets everything on the menu 'right'.

I haven't had it for a while now, but it was very good.

You might check and see if they are still doing "Burger and Beer" Monday's. http://www.rusticcanyonwinebar.com/pd...

Did they make both problems right for you?

No...I ate the burger because I was starving. It (pc burger) was like a mediocre copy of the umami burger. The fries were left untouched. Staff didn't mention it.

Fried chicken was pretty tasty, if a tiny portion for $13. I think I'll get a whole chicken at Ralph's for $7 instead!

It's another place that feels like a bar, not a restaurant. When I spend $41 for some fried chicken, a burger and fries and a single diet coke I expect something more - great oceanside view, spectacular food or even luxurious surroundings. Plan Check gives me none.

If I were younger and still drank like a fish, I might enjoy it though :)

It's no longer on the menu, you have to ask for it, and there are limited quantities available each night.

I had no idea there were limited quantities, did however know it's not on the menu.
I've never had a problem ordering it.

yeah, when i ordered it. i noticed that it was not on the menu and it is very good, though pricey at 18 bucks, though not much more than the rest of the newfangled, gourmet, artisanal burgers around town (which are usually in the 13 to 15 dolla range) and at least here the burger arrives with some great fries to boot.

One of the posters from a few yrs ago seemed to think so. Alas, I haven't had a chance to try it myself....
