I went to the Beaches BBQ and Brews fest on Father's Day. I got a half rack of ribs from Uncle Sam's and my wife got a lb. of brisket. The brisket was shredded and soaked in sauce. It was sorta like wet jerky. I didn't like it at all. But the ribs were some of the best I've ever had and the order was huge, it fed my wife and I and the kids each got a big rib. I think it was $13 for that.
We showed up right when it opened, which was smart. There were no lines and we had plenty of time to scout around where we wanted to eat -
Other advice -- forget racks of ribs, total ripoff in terms of price/mass. Go for the pulled pork sandwiches, better value.

What Tex said. Go for the fun, not the food. If you do eat, prepare your expectations for just okay bbq.
If bbq and blues is your thing, I'd suggest Monday as the day to go. Jack deKeyzer plays the OLG stage at 6:30 followed by the incomparable Paul James on the Schneiders stage at 8. That part ya can't beat.

Don't bother with this racket. Find a good BBQ restaurant (and avoid Memphis Style at Yonge/Sheppard) instead.
But if you must go, Camp 31 or Thirsty Cactus (same guys) are the best. Don't buy any of the ripoff sides (corn on the cob for $6? come on) And always try to figure out a way to avoid having to run the gauntlet of pushy snake-oil salesmen on the way in.
