Anyone know where they sell these delicious Daelmans caramel and honey wafers in Vancouver? They're soooo delicious!

  1. I think Dutch Girl on Commercial Drive has them. Give her a call to find out. http://dutchgirl.shawbiz.ca/

    1. I love Daelmans as well! I actually went ahead and emailed them and they said they're in the process of growing their business in the US; if successful, this may "result in market expansion in Canada in the next 6-12 months." So cross your fingers and keep an eye open next year, I guess!

Btw, there is a brand of stroopwafel that's carried in a few grocery stores here (definintely at IGA) -- they come in a see-through bag with a twist-tie top. Unfortunately, I've tried them twice and both times they were horribly stale.

Someone told me they recently had a fresh (or, at least, non-packaged) stroopwafel at Coo Coo Cafe. I may have to investigate.

edit: Just after posting this, they emailed me again with a bit more info, including a deal with one Vancouver store that fell through last minute and a meeting with another store next week (I'll leave the names out just in case) so I do believe they're serious. Can't wait!
