Breville lift and look toaster

A little late in the day to start researching this as my 5 year old kitchen aid died. Splurged and bought the breville lift and look 4 slice
, really two long slots so I no longer have to cut long slices, but does anyone have experience with this brand and also comment on reliability, t/y.

  1. I don't have your model but, I do have a Cuisinart clone. Those wide long slots sure are nice. They do things I never considered before. Big bagels, buns, Texas toast, etc.

    1. I have the two slice Breville. l like it pretty well. We had one for about 5 years and it died. I chose another Breville. I like the settings, the lift and look and the defrost and bagel features. Plus, I like how it looks.

      1. I have the two-slice model, and while in general I like it, I learned the hard way that an ordinary piece of rye bread (Orrowheat, aka Arnold's) is too long to fit.

Also, the loud beep that sounds when toast is done is annoying and unnecessary. Added to the beeps from my oven when it reaches the set temperature, and the not one, but four beeps from the microwave, my kitchen is starting to sound like a video game arcade.
